Better Air Quality
Development
of Air Pollution Control (APC) Device, with focus on particulate
reduction by means of baghouse filtration
Air Pollution Control Device Development: Baghouse Filtration
Flue gas from industrial activities always contains a certain
degree of particulate matter, which is a key air pollutant
of concern adverse to human health via inhalation. Therefore,
particulate removal before discharge to atmosphere is a key
focus of APC devices development. Baghouse filtration is a
dust collection system to prevent dust-laden air from emitting
to the atmosphere.
The
technology GII develops is the PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene)
membrane filtration, which can reach a filtration efficiency
up to 99.99% @ 0.5 micron due to its unique three-dimensional
membrane structure. Besides high dust collection efficiency,
this membrane texture can lead to a more stable and lower pressure
difference across the filter media, resulting in better air
permeability; longer life of bag; and lower power consumption
at the ventilation fan.
The services provided by GII include manufacturing of filter
bag and filter cartridge; engineering design; equipment fabrication;
installation; and technical advices.
Applications:
- Power Plant;
- Steel Refinery/ Paper Mill/ Chemical Industry;
- Cement Manufacturing;
- MSW / Hazardous Waste Incinerators
